SON2112L - Abdominal Sonography II Lab

Prerequisites: SON 1111 and SON 1111L
Corequisites: SON 2112
This course provides an in-depth laboratory environment for students to continue developing skills necessary to prepare them for performing diagnostic exams in the clinical environment. Students will practice scanning techniques, protocols, image optimization, patient positioning, technical impression worksheets, terminology, abdomen, abdominal vascular system, biliary system, urinary system, adrenal glands, spleen, lymph nodes, retroperitoneum, peritoneal cavity, GI system, abdominal wall, male pelvis, scrotum, neck, thyroid and superficial structures. Students will complete laboratory proficiencies for abdominal organs and small parts covered in this course including pathologic findings.
