This course presents a comprehensive study of normal anatomy and sonographic appearances of abdominal structures and small parts. The course will emphasize the sonographic features and characteristics of normal anatomy of each organ. The course will also integrate clinical and diagnostic procedures which are common to and specific to each organ. Normal variants, physiology, pertinent laboratory tests, scanning techniques and protocols, transducer selection, exam preparation and correlation with patient medical history and the findings of other imaging modalities are covered in this course.
