CVT1800L - Cardiovascular Clinical Pre-Practicum I Credits: 3 Corequisites: CVT 1000C and CVT 1260C This course is designed to simulate the basic components and skills necessary for cardiac patient care. The skills taught in this course will be simulated and practiced in the on-campus CVT laboratory. These skills will require successful completion of a competency in order to move into a clinical setting. Skills will be related to, but not limited to, lung and heart auscultation, blood pressure monitoring, basic 5-lead and 12-lead set up, patient communication, patient charting and regulations, cardiac patient assessment, oxygenation vs. Ventilation assessment and treatment, SPO2 monitoring and ETCO2 monitoring.
