RET2283L - Introduction to Mechanical Ventilation Lab

This course is a laboratory practicum designed to introduce students to advanced therapeutics involved in the delivery of intensive respiratory care. The course will provide the student with opportunities to practice the following therapeutics safely and effectively in the laboratory setting: cardiopulmonary resuscitation, airway management including intubation and trach care, and mechanical ventilation. The student will also demonstrate the ability to select, assemble, utilize, and troubleshoot equipment used in the care for the critically ill patient.
