RET1292 - Clinical Respiratory Care II Credits: 4 Prerequisites: RET 1291 This course is a clinical practicum designed to introduce students to the basic therapeutics involved in the delivery of respiratory care. The course will provide the student with opportunities to administer the following therapeutics safely and effectively: basic oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, small volume nebulizers and meter dose inhalers, incentive spirometers, breathing exercises, and chest physiotherapy. The student will also demonstrate the ability to review and make recommendations concerning the plan of care, and assess and document the patient’s response to therapy.
