CVT2421C - Invasive Cardiology II Credits: 3 Prerequisites: CVT 2211C and CVT 2420C and CVT 2620 and CVT 2840L Corequisites: CVT 2441C and CVT 2841L This course is designed to further understand cardiac diseases as well as to continue teaching the student classifications and the use of equipment and techniques used in invasive cardiology. An in-depth presentation of various cardiac diseases including coronary artery disease, angina, myocardial infarction, heart failure, valve diseases, cardiomyopathies, pericardial disorders, arrhythmias, congenital anomalies and repair procedures is also presented. The various calculations performed in the cath lab including cardiac outputs, vascular resistance, valve areas and shunts will be taught. Terms offered: W Classification: Occupational
