NUR4827 - Nursing Leadership and Management Credits: 4 Corequisites: NUR 3825 The purpose of this course is to introduce students to leadership and management concepts used to address complex issues within selected healthcare organizations. Emphasis is on the application of specific theoretical frameworks and models of care. Students will engage in activities that contribute to the development of management competencies and leadership skills within healthcare organizations. Students will develop the ability to explain and discuss topics regarding healthcare quality improvement, organizational culture, workplace diversity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ethical dilemmas in healthcare management.
