RTE1418C - Radiographic Imaging I Credits: 4 Prerequisites: RTE 1000 The purpose of this course is to provide the student with an introduction to radiographic digital imaging. The content also provides a basic knowledge of quality control, and is designed to provide a basis for analyzing radiographic images, including but not limited to; brightness, grayscale, spatial resolution, and distortion. Factors that impact image acquisition, display, archiving and retrieval are discussed. Included are the importance of minimum imaging standards, discussion of a problem-solving technique for image evaluation and the factors that can affect image quality.
