NUR1520C - Behavioral Concepts in Nursing

This course examines the role of the professional nurse in providing safe, holistic, evidence-based care to clients with behavioral health disorders. Content includes psychosocial assessment skills, therapeutic approaches and specific skills to meet various psychosocial needs of clients and families, and crisis intervention. Clinical experience will include a continued emphasis on the nursing process within a variety of health care settings (1 credit theory, 1 credit clinical lab.)
