LIT2120H - World Literature II Honors (17th-20th Century) Credits: 3 Prerequisites: ENC 1101 Corequisites: ENC 1102 This course develops an in-depth understanding of the historical and cultural traditions of world literature from the Enlightenment to the present. Designed especially for honors students, the course will be enhanced by special activities such as group projects, guest speakers, or field trips. Emphasis is on the development of Western literary attitudes through works, often in translation, by such authors as Moliere, Swift, Goethe, Tolstoy, Ibsen, Baudelaire, Pirandello, Yeats, Kafka, Lorca and Solzhenitsyn.
