LIT2110 - World Literature I (Eighth Century BC-17th Century AD) Credits: 3 Prerequisites: ENC 1101 Corequisites: ENC 1102 This course develops understanding of the historical traditions of world literature from the Ancient World through the Renaissance. Emphasis is on development of Western literary attitudes through works, usually in translation, from the Old Testament and through such authors as Homer, Aeschylus, Euripides, Aristophanes, Virgil, Dante, Boccaccio, Chaucer, Rabelais, Cervantes, Donne and Milton.
