This course is an introductory survey of British literature in the 19th and 20th centuries. Emphasis is on thematic content and structural importance of poetry, fiction and drama of major authors of the period, including Wordsworth, Byron, Blake, Keats, Tennyson, Arnold, Browning, Joyce, Lawrence and Beckett. Please note that ENL 2012 English Literature I is not a prerequisite. May be taken for credit without ENL 2012 .
