COP1030 - Fundamental Programming Concepts Credits: 3 Prerequisites: CGS 1100 This hands-on class will teach students the basic concepts of an object-oriented programming language using a programming language such as Python. Students will gain an understanding of the basics of how a computer program functions. They will also learn to create interactive programs using variables, expressions and statements. Students will learn basic programming techniques using conditional statements, recursion and functions. Finally, students will learn how to manipulate strings and structures.
