CET1278 - A+ Fundamentals Credits: 3 Corequisites: CGS 1100 Students seeking a career in the personal computer industry will benefit from this course. This course will address the basic skills needed by any entry-level technician and for the preparation of the current A+ industry certification exam. The course will focus on software installation, troubleshooting, repairing and upgrading as well as network and security issues related to operating system configuration. In addition, students will be introduced to basic computer hardware, at the level of a beginning personal computer technician. Emphasis is placed on learning the proper name of features and components making up a PC system as well as understanding their function. This section will also address the professionalism and communication skills necessary for employment in the technology industry.
