The Learning Resources Centers at the Ocala and Citrus campuses include modern library facilities equipped with a variety of materials and resources. The LRCs contain a collection of print, video, DVD and electronic resources that support student learning. A small print collection is located at the Levy Campus. Library staff are focused on providing quality service to CF students, faculty and staff, as well as members of the community, while fulfilling their information and academic needs.
All students have access to print and electronic resources. Electronic resources include databases, electronic books and journals, streaming video and films, full-text articles and news sources. The library provides inter-campus delivery, which allows students to pick up and return materials at each campus. Other resources available to library patrons are the library’s special collections which include the Wisdom Traditions Collection, the Hartigan Equine Collection, the Kenneth H. “Buddy” Mackay Congressional Books, the Abraben Architecture Collection and the Ocala Royal Dames Cancer Collection. The Ocala LRC also houses realia from Congressman Clifford B. Stearns, his congressional desk, flags and books. The Citrus LRC houses the Walker Environmental Science Collection and the Reed Fishing Collection.
Library holdings, both physical and electronic, can be searched for and accessed through the library website, library.cf.edu. CF students, faculty and staff also have access to the resources of the other Florida state college and university libraries. Items available can be requested through the Library’s interlibrary loan service, in which case materials are delivered to CF. Adaptive and assistive technology is also available, which helps those with disabilities perform tasks with greater ease and/or independence.
