A beginning course in logic placing major emphasis on training in the practical application of critical and creative principles of reasoning to everyday problems of judgment and decision. Topics or selections from the Western canon will be utilized. Both deductive and inductive methods of inference (including deduction, induction, and abduction) will be introduced.
