ANS1016 - Basic Horse Handling and Safety


Credits: 3
This class will prepare students to work safely around horses and develop skills essential to employment on a horse farm. As a basic handling and husbandry class, it is intended for students with limited horse handling skills or horse care experience. Students already having intermediate to advanced horse handling skills and horse care experience may take  ANS 2232C Advanced Horse Handling Skills , which focuses more on handling various types of horses and aspects of training, instead of this class. This class includes an extensive hands-on requirement.
