This course is designed to assist the dental hygiene student in the transition from an academic environment to a work setting. Topics will include: career and degree completion options, resume and job interview, professional behavior, ethics, the law and jurisprudence, quality assurance, prevention of medical errors, and preparation for the DH National Board Exam, the ADEX DH Clinical Exam, The Florida Laws and Rules Exam and procedures for applying for Florida DH licensure and local anesthesia certification. Schedule will remain flexible to accommodate guest speakers. Taken the last semester prior to graduation.
