SON2122L - Obstetrics and Gynecology Sonography II Lab

Corequisites: SON 2122
This course provides a laboratory environment for students to develop scanning skills and practice protocols related to normal and abnormal gynecological and obstetric anatomy including the first, second and third trimesters. Students will demonstrate sonographic pathology associated with the female reproductive organs of the pelvis. Students will practice performing fetal biometrics and scanning technique optimization for pathological findings such as abnormal fetal growth and major congenital abnormalities. This course allows students to examine clinical symptoms, relevant laboratory tests and the pathophysiology of pertinent diseases and fetal defects. Students will complete pelvic and obstetric laboratory proficiencies with pathological findings in the laboratory.
