PHY2049CH - General Physics with Calculus II with Lab Honors

Credits: 5
Prerequisites: PHY 2048C   and MAC 2312  
This course is the second part of two-semester, combined lecture/laboratory course designed primarily to meet the requirements of students intending to major in engineering, computer science, and the physical sciences fields.  It expands upon and is a continuation of physics concepts initiated in PHY 2048C, General Physics I with Calculus.  The major topics introduced in the second semester are electricity and magnetism, electrical and magnetic properties of matter, DC and AC circuits, electromagnetic induction, electromagnetic waves, geometric and wave optics, and selected topics in atomic and nuclear physics, and quantum theory, as time permits.
