NUR4667 - Global Health Care Issues and Trends in Professional Nursing

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to global health care systems and models, and their influence on health disparities and culturally sensitive delivery of healthcare. A major focus of this course is for students to critically think about and discuss health and health care within a global environment. Nursing students will be exposed to the health disparities that exist in the United States and countries around the world. In addition, students will collaborate in teams on class presentations highlighting a range of population health issues, health system economics, and cultural practices in selected countries.
