Food producing animal species provide milk, eggs and meat for human nutrition. This course covers the current trends in the beef cattle, dairy cattle, poultry, swine and aquaculture industries. Topics such as food safety, animal welfare, resource needs, economic development and biotechnology will be discussed. May be repeated for credit.
