High school graduates are required to submit final official high school transcripts, proof of GED, or home school affidavit to the Enrollment Services Center at any CF campus or center. Students who completed high school outside the United States must submit document-by-document evaluation or general analysis prepared by an active NACES member organization with listing available at www.naces.org/members. International educational partners of CF can send high school documents directly to CF. The documents must be in English and reviewed by agency staff. If originals are written in a foreign language only, translation must be included. A separate evaluation is not required.
Transfer students are required to submit official transcripts from each institution that they have previously attended at the time that they apply or readmit to CF. To be considered official, transcripts must be sent electronically via secured service to transcripts@cf.edu approved by CF, sent directly to CF from the issuing institution, or delivered in an envelope sealed by the issuing institution. Official transcripts may be submitted to the Admissions/Enrollment Services Center at any CF campus or center.
CF evaluates transfer credits for undergraduate coursework completed at regionally accredited colleges and universities across the United States. The college uses a semester credit system, and any quarter credits earned are converted accordingly-each quarter credit is equivalent to two-thirds of a semester credit. The Office of Enrollment Services will evaluate these transcripts and post all accepted transfer courses to the student’s permanent academic record. A final official high school transcript, proof of GED or home school affidavit is also required. An earned AA/AS degree or higher may be substituted for the high school transcript.
Students previously enrolled in nonaccredited or non-U.S. postsecondary institutions and received no federal financial aid only need to submit official transcripts if they want coursework from those institutions considered for transfer to the College of Central Florida.
Students who want to have postsecondary coursework from a non-U.S. college or university considered for transfer to CF must submit postsecondary transcripts in English along with course-by-course evaluation of their academic credentials. For transcript evaluation, students must use International Education Evaluations, Inc. (www.myiee.org/university/college-of-central-florida), Josef Silny & Associates (www.jsilny.com), SpanTran (www.spantran.com), World Education Services (www.wes.org) or any active member of NACES. Translation of academic credentials may be required by the evaluation agency if the documents are not written in English. Both transcript and completed evaluation report must be submitted prior to the first semester of enrollment. Transfer of credits can only be done during initial application. CF may no longer process or add credit to a student’s record in the middle of study at CF.
Transfer students who do not have transcripts on file showing completion of college preparatory or college-level English and mathematics will be required to take a placement test.
Students seeking the Associate in Science degree who possess an Associate in Arts or higher degree have already satisfied core requirements as listed in the Academic Requirements section of the college’s catalog.
